Summer Solstice is coming, and amongst else, the summer Sun is famous for fermenting magical and therapeutic mixtures like balsam oil, as well as many liqueurs. Here we are going to see an actually very simple way to utilise the power of the summer’s Sun to create a liquor to help us enjoy a joyful & lustful life. It’s Name… Joyful Lust!
Liquor for Joyful Lust
Most liquors need quite some time to be created, but as our main ingredients here are soft and juicy citruses, a week should be enough to have your liquor ready. Although you can create it any time of the year, preparing it under the most powerful Sun of the Summer Solstice will give it much more power.
So for the ‘Joyful Lust’, firstly we are going to need a bottle with a wide opening that can be sealed firmly. It would be wise to sterilise the bottle before use. Cut some oranges and mandarins in a ration 1 orange to 3 mandarins. How many you should use is up to you and to the size of the bottle you are using. Put the citruses in the bottle, and add 12 juniper berries, 5 allspice berries, 3 cloves and 2 cinnamon sticks. If your bottle is a very big one, or you like your liquor to be more spicy you can add more of those but keep the ratio. Fill the bottle with vodka and seal it. Have the bottle under the Sun for 7 days and shake it daily. To even more empower the magical properties of the liquor invoke the Sun”s blessings in it by saying every time you shake the bottle: “I call upon the heavenly King of Fire to send his blessings hot and bride! Fire of Lust and Light of Joy in here incarnate for us to enjoy!”
On the 8th day filter the ‘Joyful Lust’ liquor, in a clean and sterilise bottle. Use some coffee filter to do so, and you may need to filter the liquid 2 to 3 times. If any of the ingredients remain the liquor may go bad.
Add some sugar syrup for better taste as well as for preservative. Although I prefer sugar as it also has great magical powers, if you want to use some other sweetener you can do so. If you do so you may would like to add some liquid vitamin E for preservative.
Cap the bottle and if you keep it in the refrigerator it would be good for drinking for a year or more, so you can have it until the next Summer Solstice.
Have fun, enjoy your nature and always play safe!
